Who Can Object to the Validity of a Will?

Back to Kingston Law Firm Video Gallery

Video Transcription

On occasion, an heir will disagree that the will was valid and they’ll be given notice of a date to appear in court and object, and people are very surprised that in-laws can’t object, it’s just the actual biological and or adopted heirs of the person who passed away. So, they’ll have the opportunity to question witnesses or have their lawyer question witnesses, and we find that the process can be slowed down quite a bit when this happens. There’s a lot of negotiations that can happen between the attorneys at that point.
