Even if your accident occurred a year ago, two years ago, you still have the opportunity to hire a lawyer if the injuries you have persists. In New York State, the statute of limitations is three years and as long as that claim is filed within that three year time period, you can still pursue your claim, so doesn’t matter if a year or two has gone by, if that problem persists, you should contact a lawyer.
