Mechanical Defects

Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

If there’s a mechanical defect that causes the crash, you can recover, whether it’s in the repair work that was done by a mechanic or a design defect in the vehicle itself, you do have a right to bring a claim. If it’s a problem with the vehicle in the design or operation you would bring a claim against the manufacturer of the vehicle. If it has something to do with repair work that was done you would have the right to bring a claim against the mechanic.

Whenever there is a car crash, you want to investigate all aspects of that accident, what the cause was, was it the other driver, was it in the vehicle itself, and all those things need to be investigated to determine who the responsible party is.
