Will I need to go through a medical exam?

Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

In New York State if you are injured in an accident there will be times when either the other sides insurance company is going to want to have you submit to a medical examination or your own no fault insurance carrier is going to ask you to submit to a medical examination. You have to, you are required in New York to submit to those examinations. If you do not attend to those examinations that forms a basis for your own no fault insurance carrier to deny payments to you and when you appear for an examination for the other driver’s insurance company, typically my office will have someone attend that examination with you to make sure you are treated respectfully and that there’s an accurate diagnosis reached for your injury.
